Yula Priserim -On The Troubles Of Foresight-

Foresight is a tricky thing.

Perhaps you can see a vision of what may happen, what you think will happen.

But then you need to figure out how it will happen.

I feel that requires more thought.

And if it's a vision you want to prevent, then it gets even more tricky:

How exactly do you prevent what you've forseen?

What if acting on the vision will end up causing it?

Maybe ignoring it will actually prevent the troubling outcome instead?

But I know how tempting it is do something that bothers you.

So I guess foresight is just one tool out of a whole set.

Or maybe it's like a map?

It shows you what's there, but you still need to figure out how to reach the destination you want.

Fortunately, I'm interested in figuring things out.  It can be fun at times.

But it makes me anxious when I actually need to figure something out if failing to do so will lead to terrible consequences.

It's even worse when the best answer forces me to do something I'll feel bad for acting on...
