While described as a “lout and a lowlife” by his employers and acquaintances alike, few can deny his rough ways make him a formidable fighter on the battlefield. Grendel's desires came to grow beyond renown through war and this grew into ambition to forge a nation of his own through force.


Through this, he established a base close to the border of the Kingdom of Gallus, hoping to claim territory while in its demoralized state to better stage an invasion on the Republic of Riviera to the west in earnest. Despite his reputation, many had assumed he resigned himself to a petty life of banditry as a highwayman until he made a show of force with a personal army against the Gallus Border Guard.


Indeed, Grendel and his sellsword horde are nothing to scoff at, however, some suspect his agenda was supported by another in secret...
