DTEL Story Cast Redux

Made via Kisekae 2.

Characters for a short story I had in mind for a few years now, but never really got to writing or drawing the story in any capacity.

This is an update of an earlier picture with altered designs drawing from Kisekae's newer options and a few name changes.

To the left is a group of friends including the prospective heroine.

Carey, the blonde in the middle, is an eager go-getter, but an otherwise sensitive girl. There's a guy she likes, but the task of communicating with him has become increasingly complicated.

Abbigail, or "Abbey", the red-head on the left (or to Carey's right, technically), is the sporty one of their group. Though generally considered the more athletic one, she considers Carey a worthy rival in competition. Tends to have a short temper, and fairly impulsive, but usually means well. She's also more than willing to stand up for Carey, though her methods tend to be aggressive.

Kate, the brunette on the right, is more on the prissy side, though she has a more agreeable side that manages to appeal to both friends. She can be just as sharp and stubborn as Abbey, and equally protective of Carey, though she is nowhere near as physically confrontational.

And the isolated one is Anna. She's a straight-laced ace student the others don't seem to like, so they haven't made friends with her. Apparently, she's become a major cause of stress for Carey, and it's because of this that Abbey and Kate become hostile around her. Anna is unable to confront Carey on this issue because of this. Unfortunately, Anna has an utter lack of companionship, so she can't really confide in anyone her side of the conflict. Or at least this is how she feels. Even outside the group of three, there are a lot of people in school who don't like her very much for various reasons.

Suffice to say, no supernatural or science-fiction shenanigans will be part of this story.  This is just School Life stuff.
