Chaos and Order

Wanted to get down a more fleshed-out design of both appearances taken on by the student from my "Archaic Academcis" comic- [link] .

First and foremost, the story was actually inspired by the plot point that happens in Dragon Quest IX's Swinedimplies Academy. I actually beat the game two years ago, and the idea was floating in my head for awhile. It's just, again, I wasn't sure how I'd go about it until I got re-inspired by some other possession work... and ended up building experience by doing the dancer/sorceress possession sequence that FINALLY incorporated the samba dancer look I wanted to transform someone into for awhile, too.

Swindeimples Academy also involved a delinquent student being possessed, but both headmaster and student were MALES, it was a temporary stint, and the possession was just used to take said student to the underground portion of the academy to be properly disciplined. Obviously, I wanted to do a more fun and permanent take on this.

On the left was the student's original appearance: with a rolled-up sleeved shirt with a bandana (to look slightly gangster, I guess?) a belt with Loki's "ansur" rune (which is ironic, considering that despite his possible role in Ragnarok and his tendencies towards trickery, Loki more or less HELPED the aesir a bunch of times more than not) and what was meant to be a kilt. Regulation uniforms that to demand a vest, and the three items mention happen to be against said regulation. Point is, I have fail perception in the probable fashion sense of a rebel student, but I had fun with it, anyway. Also ended up throwing in fingerless gloves that wasn't in the original comic.

On the right is her look after her possession-merge with the spirit of the original headmistress of Lucretia Academy. Again, I claim "merge" because it's more like the original student utterly convinced that her normal behavior should be more in line with the spirit influencing her instead of the spirit itself doing the whole song and dance in the host body like it was a mascot suit. This time, her spiked hair is combed in a more tame manner, and she's wearing something closer to a regulation uniform. One alteration I was attempting was to make the sleeves puffy, but it didn't work out so well in this drawing attempt, so I reverted them to normal. What I hope I DID get through is the implication that she's wearing a long skirt, something that is typically associated more with female faculty instead of students , therefore giving off a more authoritative appearance in line with both the fact that she's possessed by the ORIGINAL authority of the academy, and that she has become the Student Council President. Said lengthening of skirt was also somewhat inspired, ironically, by the Japanese Schoolgirl "Sukeban" look, where said skirt lengthening was the typical choice of an oldschool delinquent schoolgirl... as weird as that sounds by Western standards. But yeah, judging by that smirk on her "reformed" appearance, the old headmistress may not have been the stiff goodie-goodie one would expect. Then again, despite being a reputed disciplinarian, there must have been a reason both students and teachers loved her.

Guess this "Second Coming" will be welcomed with open arms...
